Substance Abuse & Chemical Dependency (SA/CD) Treatment
The primary goal in our Substance Abuse treatment line is to help kids stop using alcohol and/or other drugs.
Fighting addiction one-step at a time, our services for teenagers in Lucas and surrounding counties offer a full continuum of care. Dependence on alcohol or other drugs can cause serious deterioration in several areas of life.
Specific focus is placed on helping young people positively change key areas of their lives (i.e., academic, family, social, health) and to enhance their potential in other areas of life that they wish to pursue. Towards this end, staff are continuously assessing for the symptoms of deterioration and assist in coordinating care in a comprehensive fashion to give youth the tools to maintain and utilize sober lifestyles.

PURSUE Program
This a substance abuse intervention program for youth between 13-18 years old and their families. The program is designed for first time offenders with substance abuse related charges. Four hours of psycho-educational curriculum is provided for youth and their parents.
Intensive Outpatient
This family program is an intensive substance abuse treatment program designed for teen aged clients who do not require residential care but are assessed to be at a risk level requiring more intense treatment than would be provided from a typical out patient modality. Based on client need, group counseling sessions range from 4 to 9 hours per week and are coupled with weekly individual and family counseling. Group size is limited to 10 participants. Sessions last from 10 to 12 weeks. Case management is provided as needed.
Day Treatment
This is an intensive program designed as either an alternative or step-down from Residential Treatment for youth who are struggling with their recovery and require a structured supportive environment to assist them in their progress. The program begins at 5 days per week from 8:30am until 4:40pm. Components include group and individual counseling, recreation, life skills, and academic support. Family counseling and case management service is provided to engage the client's family in the recovery process. Program capacity is 20 youth.
Residential Treatment
A short term residential program (28-45 days) is provided for teen-aged male clients who exhibit the highest level of need and a demonstrated pattern of unsuccessful efforts to achieve sobriety through less intense services. This service is provided for males between the ages of 12 and 17 years. Components include group, individual and family counseling, academic support, recreation and life skill development. Female clients who may require this level of care are able to access Host Home care and participate in Day Treatment services.
Continuing Care
Weekly groups and case management service is provided for youth who have successfully completed treatment. Continuing Care staff maintain communication with each client's family to reinforce the client's individual Relapse Prevention Plan and assure that the client's Individual Service Plan remains viable. The youth's continued sober life-style is the focus and goal of the Continuing Care program.
