Connecting Point: Every Child a Dream, Every Dream a Reality

Welcome to Connecting Point's New Web Site

If you are checking us out most likely you or someone you know needs help, you are interested in working or volunteering to help young people, or you are assessing us to see if we are worthy of a contribution.

Regardless of the reason, I'm glad you're here and hope you enjoy exploring Connecting Point. I encourage you to visit periodically.

If you're looking for help please look through the services section and either send us an email or give us a call at 419.243.1001. We'll be happy to talk and give you some guidance to help address whatever the concern is that you have. Even if our services aren't the answer we'd be happy to help you find the right help for your specific need.

If you're thinking about volunteering or a career opportunity with the agency, check out the respective pages. You will find descriptions of open positions and the qualifications we're looking for. If you'd rather talk to a person then give us a call at 419.243.6326 and ask to talk to our Human Resources Department. If no one is available just leave a message and we'll get back to you.

If you want to help us in our service to kids in our community by making a financial contribution please feel free to talk with me directly. We can use all the help we can get and I'd be happy to answer any questions that you have. My cell phone number is 419.508.8639.

If you're not familiar with Connecting Point I hope after you explore our site you'll understand why the agency has become such an important part of our community.

Annually, we treat over 2000 young people in our community who have serious behavioral or drug and alcohol problems. We provide emergency shelter care that is accessible 24- hours a day, 365 days of the year for young people who have no where else to go. And, we engage over 10,000 students and parents to help them be better prepared to manage decisions related to alcohol and drug use. This is a big deal.

I have been at Connecting Point for over 20 years and have seen both incredibly inspiring and heartbreaking situations within the course of our service delivery. I've seen kids graduate and head to college against seemingly insurmountable odds and I've had to deal with the senseless loss of a child's life through violence, mal-treatment or suicide. These highs and lows are a sobering reminder of the seriousness of what we do.

While I am proud of what we have accomplished and what we will do today I am also aware that there is much more to do. Connecting Point is committed to being an even better community resource for our kids in the future.

I hope after you explore our site you will share that commitment.

Thanks again for your interest,

Jeff Deckebach, CEO, Connecting Point
